Just wanted to say this worked for my Comcast internet connection. Didn't have to 30/30/30 reset the dd-wrt linksys (except for when I initially flashed with the dd-wrt firmware, of course). What I did was this: 1) With the linksys on, I unplugged the ethernet connection to the cable modem 2) Performed a 30/30/30 hard reset of the modem.

I've got a DD-WRT router connected to a Comcast Technicolor TC8305C. Comcast put their device in bridged mode, and my DD-WRT has it's WAN port set to get its IP via DHCP. When I power cycle the Technicolor, the DD-WRT will get an ip of 192.168.100.11 for about 30-60 seconds. During this time my PC can browse to 192.168.100.1, which is the Technicolor's web console.
